This model is based on a Hatteras semi custom launch, This type of craft are based on a standard hull and major structural components such as main frames and bulkheads but can be altered to the designs of the customer making every boat individual to a certain extent. Powered by single or twin diesel for inland or offshore passage.
Most alterations tend to be internal i, e, number of cabins, location of galley, external choices often made are the removal of the rear cabin and substitute for a sun deck aft and seating area, removal for the flying bridge for lower air draft. forward cabin roof altered to make a sun bed, the fitting of a folding bimini for sunnier climes.
The mast on this version doubles rig for a steadying sail when anchored or slow cruising, plus as the crane for launching the motor launch. Other version delete the mast and use a installed small hydraulic lifting crane or some have davits installed across the stern and a boarding ladder. Lots of version abound. We have modelled this kit on a full size craft but have given it a fictitious name at the request of the owner.
